It's nice to meet you.

Who I Am
I pay attention to the quality of light in a room, the shift in someone's tone, the detail that makes the difference between something feeling considered and something feeling rushed. Details matter to me, and so does balance; I've been oriented toward it my whole life (Virgo-Libra cusp here!).

Between structure and softness, intention and ease, the beautiful and the functional: this is where I find my home. I lead with feeling, and I find it in the gathering energy of a crowd moving together at a concert, in the moment a project finally clicks into coherence.

I've been shaped by years in the Burning Man community: a world built on creativity, radical self-expression, and real care for one another. It continues to remind me that we are part of something larger than ourselves.

I am an empath with strong opinions; these are not in conflict. I observe before I speak (most of the time). I notice what's not being said, and I'll name it. And I will always notice the birds.
The Name
Heliotrope: from the Greek, sun-turner
Also: a shade of purple.
I chose the name for the color. Purple has been my color for as long as I can remember, and heliotrope felt like the right word for it: unusual, botanical, beautiful. The sun-turning meaning came after, and it fit so well it felt like confirmation.

The logo itself came to me in a dream, the night after I named the business. I woke up knowing exactly what it was.

Some things arrive that way.
How I Show Up
I show up on time, prepared, and present. You won't have to wonder where I am or chase me down. Steadiness is something I take seriously, because I know how much it matters to have someone in your corner who you can actually count on. Our time together is yours. And I mean that. Use our time in whatever way actually serves you.

I'll ask the hard questions when they're sitting in the room. I try to do it with enough care that it lands as an invitation rather than a confrontation — though I won't soften it into uselessness either. Directness and tenderness aren't opposites here; they tend to travel together.

I take the work seriously. I don't always take myself that seriously, and humor finds its way in when it fits, which is often.

If any of this resonates, I'd love to explore what's possible when we work together.
